DESIGN INSPIRATION
Influenced by contemporary luxury footwear, the project explored the exaggerated proportions, sculptural forms, and utility-driven detailing seen in brands such as Alexander McQueen and Dior. These references served as a starting point for developing the boot concept.
FORM EXPLORATION
Initial studies focused on establishing the boot silhouette, proportion, and relationship between the upper and outsole before moving into detailed 3D development.
3D DEVELOPMENT
The concept was developed in 3D to refine proportion, outsole geometry, upper construction, and the transition between protective and flexible areas.
PHYSICAL EXPLORATION
I used 3D printing to experiment with translating the digital model into physical form. The process provided a way to evaluate proportion, silhouette, and sculpted geometry while exploring how digital development could inform physical prototyping.
FINAL DESIGN
The final concept reflects the progression from early sketching and 3D development through physical prototyping. Proportion, upper construction, and outsole geometry were refined into a cohesive boot that maintains the sculptural character established throughout the exploration.
