An ongoing collection of footwear concepts exploring silhouette, proportion, and form through Rhino 3D.
These studies investigate different approaches to footwear design, from initial sketches and material explorations to sculptural forms developed through NURBS surface modeling.
Generative AI was incorporated into the creative process to explore and advance design directions. These visual explorations then served as references for further development in Rhino, translating conceptual ideas into 3D geometry.
Each exploration provides an opportunity to refine my understanding of footwear construction, surface development, and design possibilities.
FOOTWEAR CONCEPT EXPLORATION
Initial silhouette studies exploring upper construction, material transitions, and the relationship between the midsole and outsole. Sketch development was followed by 3D visualization to evaluate proportions, surface treatments, and color variations.
RHINO | NURBS SURFACE DEVELOPMENT
An ongoing exploration of footwear geometry using Rhino. Developing the upper and sole through NURBS surface modeling, with a focus on silhouette, proportion, and surface construction. Current work involves refining the joined polysurface and resolving open edges.
